What do you do when it’s your senior year and pandemic is trying to ruin your vibe? Obviously you find a nice place outdoors to practice your social distancing while listening to your favorite records. Music is seriously so comforting right now. It can lift your spirits in a magical way like nothing else can. Except ice cream. Ice cream is a close second!! hahahaha. For real though, Jesus is my number one during all this craziness.

I’m also just so grateful to be a senior photographer during these unprecedented times. I’m so glad that I’m able to meet my seniors and maintain a safe distance while still creating beautiful memories for them. Kira is 100% one of the most kind and beautiful people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. I couldn’t even handle my outbursts of excitement as she was posing in front of my camera. I would give her initial poses to do, but then she had moves all on her own. Her senior session is seriously total fire! I just keep looking at her photos unable to decide which I love most. It sure helps that she is #1 GORGEOUS!!!! #2 had her hair and makeup professionally styled by Kristen Skinner who is fabulously talented. #3 brought all her fun props with her including glitter #4 has a bomb personality and the best confidence in herself. I just love this girl!!!

Kaylee is a literal ray of sunshine in the midst of so much gloominess lately. I had so much fun with her and
Olivia on this day. This day was before schools across the country were canceled. This was before businesses were forced to shut down. This was before everything changed. This was only last Thursday. It happened so fast.

My heart truly goes out to my seniors right now. I know it feels so unfair and then you feel guilty for being angry. You then might think that you can’t possibly be upset when others are suffering so horribly right now. But I want you to know that your feelings, your senior year and you matter a great deal! Try your best to be pro active in a positive way right now. Try to see this horrible situation as an opportunity to let your light shine. You are the tech savvy generation that was born for such a time as this. You have already been dominating the online social game and these sort of challenges breed innovation. Realize that although this doesn’t look like what anyone wanted, history is literally being made right now. Your senior year is going to go down in the books as something historical. You will show pictures from your senior year and tell stories of how you overcame these obstacles for years to come. And you don’t need a fancy camera to document your life and spread an encouraging message. We all have an amazing camera in our back pockets and more apps than we know what to do with for editing.

The story of the titanic would not still be being told if there was never an iceberg. How will your story be told? And when you start to feel like you are losing hope, turn to Jesus. He is our hope in time of need. He is our foundation when the storms come. We can fully trust that he will see us through this storm. God is 100% in control and this virus did not catch him by surprise. I am praying for our country, our world and you all right now. God is good and he will see us through.

Every time I get to take photos of this gorgeous girl I get excited about it. I’m so grateful to have gotten the opportunity through photography to get to know Liz and her sweet family. They are seriously some of my favorite people! I am also vicariously living through Liz since she is going to school this fall to study fashion. If I could go back to my senior year I would have totally jumped on that train! She is so blessed to have such a supportive mom helping to guide her along the way. Rhonda is 100% #momgoals!!!

We were also so happy when the sun decided to pop out at the end for a bit. It has been nothing but rainy weather predicted for days. In fact, I could use more positive predictions on my phone in general. I’m always glad I can relive these brighter days when the world seems to be in a panic. AJ’s school is closed in an effort to take all precautions which I totally respect. It’s just turned all the control I thought I had over my life upside down. I’m even more grateful for my health, my family and toilet paper than ever before. I’m praying for everyone going through hardships during this time. I’m praying for this to pass quickly. I’m praying for brighter days.

Emily is so gorgeous and staring at her beautiful photos is a much needed break from the coronavirus panic. It’s just been so weird and the grocery stores are insane. There is this uncomfortable feeling in the air from it all. Let’s forget all that and get lost in Emily’s super fabulous senior photoshoot.

This girl is total fire! Like her blue eyes are what magic is made out of. She was so much fun to hang with on a nice sun shiny day. I can’t even begin to pick a favorite because I’m obsessed with them all!!

Bailey & Matthew are the sweetest couple. This beautiful bride-to-be looked so stunning in her classic white dress with her handsome fiancé. A wide open field, golden spring sunset & two love birds make me so happy. This doesn’t even compare to what I will be capturing on their wedding day this fall.

And I just have to say something about how much I loved their style! light colored pieces with pops of color make for the most incredible photos. Luckily when you book a wedding with me you are sent an engagement session style guide on the best outfits to choose for your engagement session. Some colors just photograph better than others! Either way, these two are so good looking that they couldn’t take a bad picture. And I’m just extra pumped to captured their big day this year!! C’mon August!

Do alligators scare you? Mallie and I were totally freaked out when we saw an alligator swimming away from a spot I just had her sitting at. I whipped my phone camera out so fast and was recording it all. I was zoomed in and we were just blown away. Then I realized I never hit the record button! Ughhhhh Mallie and I are the only ones who know what we really saw. And we even tried to warn a guy fishing right by were that alligator was. Thanks to my “resting smile face” he didn’t really even take me seriously. He thought we were just giving him a hard time. Hope he is still alive…

hahahahah! moving on! Mallie is soooooo ridiculously adorable! I’m 100% obsessed with her red hair and fun playful personality. She is just so much fun to be around and I loved getting to capture these memories for her. We have met a few times now and it’s always a joy to be around her cute self!

Sarah + sunshine = a gorgeous fun senior photoshoot!!! We had the best time walking around Huntsville on this beautiful day. This sweet girl has the best smile and I was definitely doing my best to keep her laughing.

I’m so glad that she found me through Instagram and we were able to connect. Her style is so classy and I just enjoyed photographing her so much! Towards the end of session she put on this yellow dress that I was so pumped about. You have to check those out because she is stunning!

All senior photoshoots should include boat rides because this day was super fun. Riley was a total pro with all his fishing gear and I enjoyed capturing it all. I seriously love the awesome people I get the privilege of meeting and the cool experiences that photography leads me too. The Sunday before this one I was photographing Bre with the Seattle Skyline behind her and one week later I’m enjoying a boat ride in Alabama. It’s too cool!

Riley is just a laid back awesome guy too. Plus he is really talented in photography and media design himself. He was showing me a couple of things he had done on his phone and I was impressed. He also knew exactly what kind of camera I was using which showed his knowledge in that area too. This guy can fish and create graphics. Watch out sports magazines! Riley is coming for you! ?

Brittney & Colby are such a cute couple. I had such a good time taking their engagement photos. My favorite photos are where they are smiling right after laughing at my stories. What stories was I telling to make them laugh so hard? Well, it involved my terrible driving and a guy on a bicycle.. And that’s all I’m saying on here! hahahaha. You will just have to book a session to hear the full story! ? or ask Brittney & Colby.

Michael and I are so excited to capture their wedding in October. Their special day is going to be at one of my most favorite venues so I’m definitely counting down the days. C’mon October! Let’s get here because we are ready to celebrate these two on a gorgeous fall day!
