David & Katie’s November wedding date was absolutely stunning! These two are the perfect pair and capturing their special day was the best. We started out the day with lots of coffee and hair & makeup. There were flowers everywhere as Kaite’s mom and her wedding team were preparing all the floral decor. It smelled wonderful.
Later that day Kaite shared some sweet moments with her mom, had a first look with her bridesmaids and then with her handsome soon-to-be-husband. We were blessed with beautiful weather and every detail came together in the most gorgeous way. This wedding was a fairy tale come to life for sure! I’m so glad that Michael got to film it and I got to photograph it because we definitely just love these two. They are such cherished friends now.
“Kaite & David, we wish you all the happiness in the world and we are always here for you! <3 Dustin & Michael”
Kayla seriously blew my mind with her modeling skills! I always position my seniors in different poses so they don’t have to worry about a thing. However, some of my senior just go rogue with their own moves and I’m just snapping my camera in awe! Kayla was one of those individuals. I would put her into the initial pose and then she would just be moving around striking pose after pose. It was amazing and I’m so impressed.
She is in theatre and show choir so being confident in front of others is something she has obviously practiced. That confidence totally paid off because Kayla totally killed it during her senior photoshoot. Every single one of her photos is stunning. I’m in love with them all. Plus I love the meaning behind the flannel shirt she chose to wear for one of her outfits. It was her grandfathers flannel who passed away and a way for her to commemorate him. I love that. And I have so much love for Kayla. I look forward to seeing only good things from this beautiful girl as she graduates high school and takes on college.
Mary-Katherine & Blake did so great during their engagement session and we were blessed with the prettiest fall day. I just recently met up with Mary-Katherine to go over all her wedding day details, but I feel like I already know her. Her grandfather is my pastor and I’ve heard from him and the rest of the family how proud they are of her for a while now. She is in law school, Blake is a banker and everyone just very understandable loves this couple.
That’s why I’m so excited to be photographing Blake & Mary-Katherine’s wedding in August 2020. I like to follow my brides wedding Pinterest boards and this girl has such a classic vision for her wedding day. August can’t come soon enough.
Lexus &. Jordan are such an adorable fun couple. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a mullet look so good. hahahahaha ? I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding in May 2020. Especially because after Facebook creeping them
(Don’t judge me. We all do it! hahaha) I saw that they have been together for such a very long time. It was sweet to see the pictures of them together when they were just little kids.
Now they are this precious little family with their little boy Jaxton. He is so cute. I loved getting to snap a few pictures of his sweet little self. Since I’ve become a mom it’s even more meaningful to capture those little baby smiles. I now know how treasured they are to mamas.
I first met this gorgeous brunette while take photos of her during prom last year. I thought she was so cute and sweet that when she wanted me to do her senior photos I was super pumped! This time she showed up with her mom and her close friend Zoey and I got to experience even more of her fun personality. Close friends always get the best laughs and authentic reactions. And I always love that.
Chloe let me know that she was known for winking and it was such a good time just letting her be silly and capture it all. I put her in poses, but when she just started being a total ham was when she truly lit up. Also, I love how she just beats to her own drum. She had such a unique and adorable style. Her shoes are bomb and her personality is dynamite. This pretty girl did fantastic and I look forward to watching her doing great at college next year.
First of all, I’m obsessed with how adorable & beautiful Victoria is! Secondly, I’m SUPER obsessed with her ballet photos!!! I mean like over the moon crazy in love with them! I was the little girl who wanted to be a ballerina when I grew up so I was all about it when she asked if she could get some in her ballet attire. YES, I practically screamed through an email in response. ? And not to leave you all hanging on what happened to my ballerina ambitions… well it didn’t work out. ? I’m glad I got to vicariously live through Victoria because she has all the skills in that department.
All in all, I just had such a great time meeting Victoria and getting to photograph her sweet little self. She was seriously like having a life size barbie to pose in different positions. This girl couldn’t take a bad photo if she tried and she has a heart of gold. ❤️❤️❤️
I had an absolute ball getting to take Katie Jones senior photos last weekend! I got to know this girl while teaching at DHCA a couple of years ago, but I’m even more in love with Katie after spending personal time photographing her. She is so cute, fun and super chill. She didn’t stress over anything and just effortlessly fell into gorgeous poses. She would bust into laughter when I would put her in weird positions that didn’t feel like her usual way of standing in front of a camera. I was clicking away capturing the explosion of laughter and joy that was contagious. It’s abundantly clear why she is so popular to the point of even winning home coming queen this year. She is just so fun!
I could go on and on, but the photos speak for themselves. I especially love the ones of Katie in her element with a ball in hand. She is going to Samford University next fall and I can’t wait to see her prosper in every way possible during that next chapter in her life. I will definitely be following along and rooting for her. This girl is a total star and I have so much love for her.
I was so excited to meet up with Emily on a beautiful sun shiny day in October! Last time I was with her it was raining cats and dogs out of no where. The weather predicted nothing but sunshine but then, BOOM!, storm of the century. Since I was already with her, we took a few photos in a cute coffee shop and decided it was best to reschedule.
The day we picked for our second go around was total perfection and so was Emily! This girl is a total doll! I loved getting to capture her sweet self. Plus, this time she went to Hali Gurley for her hair & makeup and she looked extra amazing. Senior photo sessions always go a million times better when you go to a really skilled hair & makeup artist. They have advance tools that photograph well. Emily definitely photographed well. I’m so in love with all her fun photos!
Annabelle is so classically gorgeous with the prettiest carmel colored eyes. It was so fun meeting up with her and her mom on the most gorgeous October day that we could have asked for. Photographing seniors on a perfect fall day is at the top of my list of favorites.
We started out on Bank Street in downtown Decatur because it always offers awesome scenery and charm. Then we went to Delano Park and skipped the rose garden because I was after the vibrant colored yellow fall trees. They did not disappoint and complimented Annabelle’s beautiful eyes and outfit fantastically. I loved getting to spend time with this amazing girl and look forward to seeing her succeed at all she takes on. She is going to do great!
The dreamiest view plus the most gorgeous couple equals an incredibly fantastic engagement session. Taylor & Collin will be getting married October 2020 at Burritt on the Mountain. I just can’t get over this amazing scenery and how beautiful Taylor is in her red dress. And Collin, her handsome groom-to-be was so fun to meet too. The two of them had such great chemistry that photographing them was so effortless.
Later, we did our second location on a roof top while the sun set and the photos are epic! When I was editing them, Michael came into the room and thought I was looking at photos advertising a hat company. That’s how stunning Taylor looked in her white hat with her good-looking finance by her side. I just loved getting to capture this sweet couple and can’t wait for their wedding day next year!
