Kaylee is a literal ray of sunshine in the midst of so much gloominess lately. I had so much fun with her and
Olivia on this day. This day was before schools across the country were canceled. This was before businesses were forced to shut down. This was before everything changed. This was only last Thursday. It happened so fast.
My heart truly goes out to my seniors right now. I know it feels so unfair and then you feel guilty for being angry. You then might think that you can’t possibly be upset when others are suffering so horribly right now. But I want you to know that your feelings, your senior year and you matter a great deal! Try your best to be pro active in a positive way right now. Try to see this horrible situation as an opportunity to let your light shine. You are the tech savvy generation that was born for such a time as this. You have already been dominating the online social game and these sort of challenges breed innovation. Realize that although this doesn’t look like what anyone wanted, history is literally being made right now. Your senior year is going to go down in the books as something historical. You will show pictures from your senior year and tell stories of how you overcame these obstacles for years to come. And you don’t need a fancy camera to document your life and spread an encouraging message. We all have an amazing camera in our back pockets and more apps than we know what to do with for editing.
The story of the titanic would not still be being told if there was never an iceberg. How will your story be told? And when you start to feel like you are losing hope, turn to Jesus. He is our hope in time of need. He is our foundation when the storms come. We can fully trust that he will see us through this storm. God is 100% in control and this virus did not catch him by surprise. I am praying for our country, our world and you all right now. God is good and he will see us through.
Every time I get to take photos of this gorgeous girl I get excited about it. I’m so grateful to have gotten the opportunity through photography to get to know Liz and her sweet family. They are seriously some of my favorite people! I am also vicariously living through Liz since she is going to school this fall to study fashion. If I could go back to my senior year I would have totally jumped on that train! She is so blessed to have such a supportive mom helping to guide her along the way. Rhonda is 100% #momgoals!!!
We were also so happy when the sun decided to pop out at the end for a bit. It has been nothing but rainy weather predicted for days. In fact, I could use more positive predictions on my phone in general. I’m always glad I can relive these brighter days when the world seems to be in a panic. AJ’s school is closed in an effort to take all precautions which I totally respect. It’s just turned all the control I thought I had over my life upside down. I’m even more grateful for my health, my family and toilet paper than ever before. I’m praying for everyone going through hardships during this time. I’m praying for this to pass quickly. I’m praying for brighter days.
Emily is so gorgeous and staring at her beautiful photos is a much needed break from the coronavirus panic. It’s just been so weird and the grocery stores are insane. There is this uncomfortable feeling in the air from it all. Let’s forget all that and get lost in Emily’s super fabulous senior photoshoot.
This girl is total fire! Like her blue eyes are what magic is made out of. She was so much fun to hang with on a nice sun shiny day. I can’t even begin to pick a favorite because I’m obsessed with them all!!
Do alligators scare you? Mallie and I were totally freaked out when we saw an alligator swimming away from a spot I just had her sitting at. I whipped my phone camera out so fast and was recording it all. I was zoomed in and we were just blown away. Then I realized I never hit the record button! Ughhhhh Mallie and I are the only ones who know what we really saw. And we even tried to warn a guy fishing right by were that alligator was. Thanks to my “resting smile face” he didn’t really even take me seriously. He thought we were just giving him a hard time. Hope he is still alive…
hahahahah! moving on! Mallie is soooooo ridiculously adorable! I’m 100% obsessed with her red hair and fun playful personality. She is just so much fun to be around and I loved getting to capture these memories for her. We have met a few times now and it’s always a joy to be around her cute self!
Sarah + sunshine = a gorgeous fun senior photoshoot!!! We had the best time walking around Huntsville on this beautiful day. This sweet girl has the best smile and I was definitely doing my best to keep her laughing.
I’m so glad that she found me through Instagram and we were able to connect. Her style is so classy and I just enjoyed photographing her so much! Towards the end of session she put on this yellow dress that I was so pumped about. You have to check those out because she is stunning!
I can’t even believe how stunning Reece is with her gorgeous colored eyes. Then she pulls out this handmade dress that literally matches her eye color! I was obsessed and in total heaven taking this pretty girls photos.
Her senior photoshoot was full of all the best kind of action! We were fancy with a fur coat on Bank Street and later doing cart wheels on her high school’s field. She is just multi talented and her serious model is face is total fire! I had the best time with Reece and I am so excited to watch her take on college later this year! She is fabulous!
All senior photoshoots should include boat rides because this day was super fun. Riley was a total pro with all his fishing gear and I enjoyed capturing it all. I seriously love the awesome people I get the privilege of meeting and the cool experiences that photography leads me too. The Sunday before this one I was photographing Bre with the Seattle Skyline behind her and one week later I’m enjoying a boat ride in Alabama. It’s too cool!
Riley is just a laid back awesome guy too. Plus he is really talented in photography and media design himself. He was showing me a couple of things he had done on his phone and I was impressed. He also knew exactly what kind of camera I was using which showed his knowledge in that area too. This guy can fish and create graphics. Watch out sports magazines! Riley is coming for you! ?
Xan is 10/10 amazing! I first met this guy while taking photos of him heading off to winter formal. He instantly stood out to me with his impressive manners. That’s why when he messaged me about senior photos I was all in even though I am completely booked. I’m so glad I was able to fit him in and he chose me to capture these memories. He really is just great.
Plus I love his style. He had the best socks and his glasses were my fav too! We had a good time laughing over small town life and hanging out in the sunshine. We finished his session on the golf course since that’s one of his favorite hobbies. The way the sun hit the course was amazing and the perfect ending to a fantastic day. So pumped to see Xan go on to be incredibly successful even after graduation. He is awesome!
Do you want to know where my favorite photography spots are? Just look for the glitter because Ashley and I definitely left a trail behind?! If you see glitter on random streets in Decatur, Alabama then you know where Ashley and I were. Ashley’s Senior Photoshoot was extra sparkly! This girl leaves a little shine everywhere she goes.
She was such a ray of sunshine during her her session. I love her smile. I told her she has a Julia Roberts vibe going for her with her height, her gorgeous big smile and her curly hair. Plus I think she also looks like Ann Hathaway in a few of her pictures. So basically I just think she is gorgeous and looks like lots of gorgeous actresses too! ???
These photos of Jack Lyons are album cover worthy!!! This talented guy brought his instruments to his senior photoshoot and totally killed it! I’m still just blown away by how incredible all his photos are. Jack has such a great personality and style that was super enjoyable to capture. Some people are just extra interesting to photograph and he is one of them. I mean he plays a ukulele and is up for doing it on the roof of his car too! He is simply the best!
In some of his other photos he is rocking a pink bow tie and just overall taking his session to the next level. We were all over the downtown streets of Huntsville just having fun with whatever looked like a cool spot. Plus we were blessed with a warm sunny day and all was amazing. So glad I got to capture this awesome guy!
