I absolutely love getting to work in the wedding industry capturing all the details that brides & grooms spend months planning, but I believe simple is just as beautiful. In an effort to try some new things out including new camera gear, Camera & Sabina participated in a styled shoot for me. Sabina still fit her gorgeous wedding dress and Cameron owned a suit! That’s what I call a recipe for stunning wedding day inspired photos.
I do love the idea of a bride and groom meeting in a field flowing with flowers. Wouldn’t it be great if we ditched the stress and just showed up looking pretty as can be for photos and then flew off for our honey moon. That’s what I call happily ever after!
Jessica and Scott got married at Ardmore Station in Ardmore, Alabama and their wedding was incredibly beautiful. The venue was a great location and one of my favorites to date. I loved getting the opportunity to capture this sweet couple’s wedding day.
Skylar and Colter were married on May 5th (Cinco De Mayo) on a day full of unpredictable weather in northern Alabama. We experienced a cloudy overcast, rain showers and sunshine. However, the most unpredictable part was the proposal that happened during the bouquet toss.
Skylar had collaborated with her brother Matthew to help him pop the question to his girlfriend who was also a bridesmaid in Skylar’s wedding. Skylar pretended like she was going to toss the bouquet, but instead turned around and handed it to her brothers girlfriend. At that point Matthew stepped into view and gets on one knee before asking her to marry him. Family and friends recorded the scene and it quickly went viral on several news stations.
Photographing Jack & Baylee’s wedding day was so extremely fun. They are just the coolest couple that have this effortless chemistry. When you’re around them you just know they were meant to be. The way they show affection for one another is what every wedding day photographer hopes for.
Another amazing part of this day was that it was the first time that Michael was my second shooter. He has gotten very skilled with our equipment and we knew it was finally showtime for him. It was awesome to see that a lot of the photos that Jack & Baylee loved were pictures that Michael had taken. I still have the final say on all the editing, but having him there to get a different perspective from behind the lens is wonderful.
Jackie and Dave were both widowed before they came together and found love again. Their intimate living room wedding ceremony proved that love doesn’t have an expiration date and can be found at any age. Despite loss from the past these two hearts were healed by their love for God and for each other.
As the leaves fell during their cool October wedding, the experience of watching these two souls exchange vows warmed every heart in the room.
Jennifer and Matthew had only met a few months before taking the leap into engagement. They both quickly knew that they were meant to be together and dismissed the standards on timing. Family and friends showed their support and the two had a beautiful southern wedding on a gorgeous weekend in October. The weather was great and the day was perfect.
